The My ePets project was concurrent with the Bratz social network, both for end client MGA Entertainment. I worked remotely with Ann Arbor, MI, interactive agency Enlighten.
Much of my work on ePets was common to work performed for the Bratz network. Chiefly I worked with the My House tile world, creating autonomous pet animations, the pet walk cycle, the jump on furniture logic.
I developed specifications for three teams of animators as to how the pet keyframe animations should be structured, and coordinated with them and Enlighten project managers in weekly calls and drops. From the animators' frame art I built individual movie clips with proper timing and logic to provide expressive movement and code hooks.
I worked out several methods of attaching assets to the pet, such as hats, collars, etc., and saw to it that assets remained attached during all pet movements, which were separate movie clips.
